LOTTE Department Store launched the RE:JOICE campaign in 2017 to support women's happiness, noting that 70% of its customers and employees are women.
In 2022, the department store expanded the campaign target and upgraded its message to boost everyone’s self-esteem and support their dreams and challenges.

As the first in the distribution industry, LOTTE Department Store declared "Green LOTTE" in 2004 and shared its message on environmental protection.
In addition, it newly launched RE:EARTH, an environmental campaign that inherits the spirit of the "Green LOTTE" campaign and promotes a sustainable future to celebrate Environment Day on June 5, 2022.

Since 2018, LOTTE Department Store has been donating returned products unfit for resale on its online shopping mall, LOTTE ON, to the Happy Sharing. Happy Sharing regularly hosts the RE:JOICE Bazaar with these donated products, spreading the message of sharing and promoting a virtuous cycle of resources for those in need.

I Got Everything Café, opened to provide jobs for the hearing impaired, is located on the first floor of LOTTE Premium Outlet Icheon. LOTTE Department Store contributes to the growth of the local community and strives to improve the labor conditions of people with disabilities by donating to the Korea Association of the Deaf every month with the commissions earned from leasing the café.

The employees of LOTTE Department Store have voluntarily organized the CHARLOTTE Volunteer Group to conduct various community service activities.
The LOTTE Department Store supports volunteer activities by funding each store's activity expenses. The CHARLOTTE Volunteer Group, organized by employees, plans and carries out various volunteer activities aligned with the themes of RE:JOICE and RE:EARTH, the company's main social contribution programs.

LOTTE Department Store operates a matching grant system in which the company matches and donates the same amount of donations its employees make from their salaries. In 2014, the collected donation was used for the Lovely House Project to repair old childcare facilities and nursing homes. In 2016, we implemented the Happiness with 10,000 won Project with Naver Happy Bean to support children and senior citizens in need. This project was even more meaningful as donated employees participated in volunteer activities for the beneficiaries.

LOTTE Department Store supports the recovery projects of areas affected by typhoons, earthquakes, and wildfires. In 2016, during the major earthquake in Gyeongju and typhoon in Ulsan, we made a donation of 1 billion won as disaster relief and established a soup kitchen to actively aid in the recovery of the affected areas. In 2018, we cooperated with affiliates in the distribution business to establish a private-public partnership for an emergency response to disasters and supplied relief equipment and goods to the sites.

In 2021, in recognition of the global crisis caused by COVID-19, LOTTE Department Store donated to Vietnam to aid the country's recovery.

Before launching the Jakarta Store, the first store in Indonesia, in June 2013, LOTTE Department Store carried out a CSR activities in the area. In April, we held the solar light delivery ceremony with the Korea Green Foundation to supply the light of hope to 300 households in Pasar Minggu and clean the neighborhood.
In May, we carried out medical volunteer works in Kampung Melayu and Cipayung areas with medical staff from the Korean Open Doctors Society, MVG Customer Volunteer Group, and local employees. Almost two thousand patients received treatment in six clinics including dental, Korean , and internal medicine, and went home with medication and relief goods.

LOTTE Department Store is carrying out a project to solve drinking water problems in developing countries with inadequate water supply facilities and severe groundwater contamination with various heavy metals.
Since 2014, in collaboration with Seoul National University's Rainwater Research Center, we have set up rainwater purification facilities with a capacity of 20 tons each to poor areas near Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Jakarta to supply one to three liters of drinking water to local residents a day. In August 2019, we completed the fourth rainwater purification facility in the Nam Tu Liem district of Hanoi, taking the lead in solving drinking water problems for 500 kindergarten students and residents.

LOTTE Department Store has sponsored Peace & Green Boat, a cruise tour program for the environment and peace in Asia, from its first sailing in 2005 to 2019. Peace & Green Boat is a program jointly operated by the Korean Green Foundation and Peace Boat of Japan. It aims to emphasize peace between nations with passengers from various countries traveling around Asian countries and sharing awareness of the environment through environment-related lectures and discussions, as well as cultural exchange and goodwill activities.
